To get to Alstonfield to do this lovely walk you will have to go on the A515, the nearest southern town is Ashbourne or if you are coming from the north Buxton is the nearest, Alstonfield is well signed posted along this road.
STARTING POINT.
There is a small car park as you approach the village this only holds a small amount of cars about 11 or 12. There are toilets here and at Milldale.
DISTANCE
AND TIME.
About 5 or 6 miles and give yourself about 4 hours (if your not taking photos). It may take you less time but I like to look at the scenery not do a route march.
