Coton Directions

Coton is a small hamlet just passed Gnosall on the A518 heading towards Newport.

Starting Point

This can be a little hard to find, as you go through Gnosall from Stafford you pass through a little hamlet that looks as though it belongs to Gnosall.  Carry on towards Newport and in about 1/2 mile just before you pass Swan Pit nursery there is a turning on your left to a no through lane. Go down here and you will come to little car park on your left just before you come to the disused railway bridge . The grid reference SJ806202

The Map

As you see from the map you start at the car park called the crows nest along the disused railway over to the edge of Aqualate Mere double back on yourself for a short distance to pass by Weavers Hill and back to car park.
